Hi there! Just wanted to share a new tool my artist wife and I created called Artventori. We made it to make our lives easier when it comes to managing a growing portfolio of paintings, (but it works great for any visual artist). Google Drive + spreadsheets were okay for a while but started getting pretty clunky keeping track of sizes, prices, dates, exhibition histories etc... then needing different image sizes for various submissions. Quite a hassle once you reach a certain scale of work. I tried out a couple of the existing tools for this purpose. There are some solid products and they clearly have a market — though I don't think we are it (felt more institutional and expensive). I wanted something I could manage entirely from my phone while also replacing the need to break out the old SLR and Photoshop in order to take passable photos of new works. I think we've come pretty close to our ideal art-management app with Artventori. All you do is upload your works, organize them as you see fit, then add them to various 2d showcases and 3d galleries that you can share. The showcases are much cleaner than what we've seen out there -- custom CSS frames to make images shine, gallery inspired backgrounds, side-scrolling configs (very nice!), automatic PDF catalogues... Then the 3D galleries take it up a level and let you design your ideal walkthrough experience. The art is sized properly so you can experience the true sizes, and the customizable textures and lighting are pretty slick. Plenty of other neat features like Magic Edit that turns a quick studio snap of your new work into a gallery website ready shot with fixed lighting and perspective and everything. Or automated submission forms if you want to run a group show. The best part, and something we feel strongly about, is offering a very generous free forever tier that lets artists and curators manage up to 100 pieces, no strings attached. Artists have a hard enough time making what they deserve and we didn't want this to be a barrier for anyone just starting out. So please do check it out and if you're keen on becoming one of our first featured artists or curators (which we will promote and provide free premium accounts to) just shoot me a DM (limited spots of course).
