@ejameswill Wind Power prices have plummeted in the past few years, and we want to pass those benefits onto consumers. We have long-term contracts with Wind Farms that allows us to buy low-cost certificates. We also have a 100% option that costs a few extra bucks a month. We offer all customers additional tools and renewable energy services to help you save on your bills too.

I've been a customer for nearly 2 years... I sleep better at night knowing that I can tell my 2 daughters when they grow up that I wasn't afraid to pay a small premium for energy that isn't contributing to climate change that they will suffer more than me. Great product that is easy to signup and requires essentially no more of your time than that.

@joshdance Hi Josh, All you have to do is link your local utility account to our platform. Each month, you'll get just one power bill from us that you can pay by credit card or bank account, and we'll pay your local utility. We look at your energy use and buy an equal amount of Renewable energy certificates up to a 50% or 100% match from our partner wind farms. Once you're a customer we'll also look at your energy profile and suggest ways for you to save money (LEDs, Nest thermostat, community solar, etc).

@joshdance They see how much power you're using and sell you offsets in wind energy. I was confused as well when I saw it a few weeks ago. I thought (based on the description and website) that I was changing power providers to them and it would be cheaper.

@kiranraju Very impressed that you guys work in all 50 states out of the box. Almost every other energy dashboard co would only work with a handful. You picked up PSE&G without a hitch. However I do have one question - I'm on auto, balanced billing. What happens to that? Do I have to cancel it? Is it done automatically? it's a bit unclear.

If you have a chance to go 50% renewable energy at no cost to you (or nature), it's a no brainer. If you can go 100% for a penny or so per kilowatt, and convince 10 people to do the same, the air quality would get substantially better over the next 2 decades. We've really hit an inflection point on renewables. Arcadia Power makes it easier to go renewable energy than porting your cell phone to another carrier!
