Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I'm David, and I just launched AfterShock after spending the last 30 hours building it from scratch. Why I built this: I did 13 years in prison. When I got out, the system gave me nothing—no bank account, no housing support, no one invested in my comeback. Just a $50 bus ticket and expectations I'd fail. 68% of people released from prison end up back inside within 3 years. Not because they want to, but because the system is designed that way. So I taught myself to code and built the platform they should've built. What AfterShock does: Communities stake crypto on someone's 90-day reentry success: - Choose 6 milestones (housing, employment, savings, etc.) - Navigator (peer supporter) verifies progress weekly - Hit 6/6 milestones → unlock funds + community earns 20% return - Hit 3-5 → everyone breaks even - Hit 0-2 → funds go to crisis services No waste. Just accountability and skin in the game. Why blockchain: People with criminal records can't get bank accounts. 83% are denied. Crypto wallets don't check credit scores or backgrounds. Financial inclusion from day one.
