Guillaume Bardet
Hey Product Hunters! 👋 I'm Guillaume, one of the founders of Adept School, and I am thrilled to finally announce announce what we have been working on. I only went to high school for about a year and went on to work for myself since I was about 15 years old. Throughout the years I have encountered many talented individuals in the same or similar situation as myself. We often talked about what would happen if we were ever to look for a job. The answer would always lean towards using the projects we have built as well as our network. Which makes sense, but a lot of people are not as fortunate or begin to approach this a bit too late. At Adept School, we want to make sure we can help people that went on a different path and/or did not have access to such opportunities, to begin with. For a lot of the positions out there, we don’t believe a degree is helpful as much as experience is nowadays. The programs below have been carefully built as our way of trying to make an impact as quickly as possible. 💼 The Fast Track Program Instead of building our own Bootcamp, we are working closely with self-taught developers and graduates from Bootcamps such as Lambda School, IronHack, AppAcademy, SheCodes, and many others. (We are not affiliated with the Bootcamps, we are helping the candidates directly.) As part of this program, and to take this experiment event further we have carefully curated 20+ developers from Nigeria, Tunisia, Morocco and many other countries. As of now, with the Fast Track Program, we are first focusing on developers/technical positions and will eventually broaden out to design, marketing, and much more. --- 🧑‍💻 The Remote Assistant Program I know we did not mention this one much in the feature images, our tagline, etc. Let me explain why we built this program. After talking to hundreds of applicants, we were able to take a closer look at the average salary some were expecting. We felt it was worth trying to introduce them to opportunities that valued their talents and time. Sometimes, talent and drive can be drained out of someone. We want to avoid this by providing them with more exciting opportunities such as working directly with a CEO, Solo-Founder, or even a realtor that could use some help. Working in this environment will help them be better prepared for future opportunities or even grow to have a full-time position with the same employer. This program also offers them a consistent income stream that will allow them to continue to learn and invest in themselves. --- 🤝 How does the hiring process work? Employers can submit a request and either receive five potential candidates and/or get access to our private community where they can talk with the candidates directly. After matching with the right candidate(s), the conversation can be moved outside of our community or they can talk privately through the direct message feature. At this stage, an employer can begin to go through the required steps in their hiring process. For the time being, there are no fees involved to join or hire Adept School fellows. And finally, the community for each program is limited to 100 candidates at all times. This is to lower the amount of noise within the community and to focus on a small group of people at a time. --- 🙌 Let us know what you think We will be here all day to answer any questions you might have, so ask away! 🍻 Guillaume & Malek

Congrats on the launch! @guillaumebardet Let us know when are you planning to launch a Slack or Discord community with all of your graduates.
Guillaume Bardet
Thank you, @eugenehp! We have the community setup on a different platform called 'Geneva'. Its actually really nice, it is pretty much Discord/Slack/Clubhouse in one app.
Eugene Hauptmann
@guillaumebardet Ah, Geneva looks interesting, haven't seen it before. Most of our engineers we hire have presence on Slack/Discord in different live communities, so it could be a better fit for your mission. Though, I agree, Geneva looks beautiful.
