Mini-games are a great way for beginners and children to learn how to play chess. Most software and websites for chess don't support mini-games. Acorn Chess is designed to help parents and coaches teach chess using mini-games and allow students to practise.

I've been involved in teaching both my boys chess and also ran a chess club at a local school. With COVID-19 driving everything online I realised that there was no good way to teach chess online using mini-games which are great at engaging and helping children learn chess in a fun way. I worked with another very experienced chess coach to help refine the selection of mini-games and overall usability of the software based on his feedback of using it in Zoom conferences with his students. Excited to already have seen a lot of interest in Acorn Chess.
