Hey everyone 👋 I’m a 20-year-old developer, still in college, building Nirvana from the ground up — mostly during nights, early mornings, and random bursts of inspiration between classes and internship tasks. Nirvana wasn’t some fancy startup idea at first. It came from a personal place — a mix of late-night overthinking, journal entries I never finished, and a genuine need for something that understood me better than another “productivity” app. Why Nirvana? Because I wanted a space that helps you feel — not track, not measure, just feel. To sit with your thoughts, hear gentle reflections, take a mindful pause, and come back to yourself. No pressure to fix everything. Just... breathe. So I started building: Mental health chatbots with emotional nuance Personalized CBT assessments & reports powered by AI Mood journaling with real-time sentiment feedback Motivational quotes, calming music, micro-reflections And recently — our Self-Care Lab, a more interactive space with voice support & delightful micro-interactions ✨ The Tech Side It's built with Next.js, ShadCN (UI so smooth it’s addictive), MongoDB, OpenAI, and a lot of trial + error. I learned things the hard way — from fixing race conditions at 2AM to rethinking user flows after a random 4-hour therapy TikTok binge 😂 This Means a Lot This isn’t just an app. It’s my attempt to build something gentle, something real, something that doesn't just shout “fix yourself” but quietly says, “you’re okay, take your time.” To everyone who supported me, gave feedback, tested it, or just listened while I ranted about design details nobody else cared about — thank you 🙏 I truly hope Nirvana brings peace to at least a few souls out there. That’s all I ever wanted. Let me know what you think. Would love your thoughts. ~ With heart, R 🧠💙
