So recently my girlfriend's been using ChatGPT pretty frequently as a therapist and has been finding it to be really effective at providing comfort and affirmation for a lot of her thoughts when she's feeling anxious. And while I know the general consensus is that AI is not a suitable replacement for professional therapy, it does do amazing at helping you organize your emotions in a way that's easy to understand and process. Especially when the alternative is paying for $150 therapy sessions, it's hard to fault anyone that ends up going that route. With that said, these past couple of weeks, I've been working on something for her so that she has an organized place to store all her thoughts and conversations and thought that I might as well also make it accessible to more people that might find it useful. And it's completely free! It just launched and currently just supports easy and secure digital journaling along with an AI-powered companion to help organize thoughts and provide reassurance. The AI assistant is totally optional for journaling and if it's not for you, you can just as easily write your journal entries manually. The companion is simply there if you ever have something you just want to get off your chest. There's absolutely still lots of room for improvement, so I'm also reaching out to take any suggestions from anyone who would actually be interested in an application like this to help make it something that people can really appreciate. The hope is that this app remains completely free and accessible to everyone so that anyone struggling with mental health or anything at all has the resources they need to talk about it and work through it. Thanks for checking it out!
