This app started with a simple but frustrating problem: I was tired of being tired. Like many of you, my day is powered by a deep love for coffee. It’s the ritual that kickstarts my morning, the warm mug I hold during deep focus, and the afternoon pick-me-up that gets me through a slump. For years, coffee was my superpower. But I realized it was also becoming my kryptonite. Night after night, I'd go to bed at a "reasonable" hour, but I’d lie awake, my mind racing. I felt that classic, frustrating combination of "tired but wired." When I finally did fall asleep, it was restless. The next morning, I’d wake up groggy, hit the snooze button one too many times, and immediately reach for a large coffee to break through the brain fog. It was a vicious cycle: I needed coffee to function because of poor sleep, and my coffee habit was causing the poor sleep. I looked for a solution. Sleep trackers confirmed what I already knew—my sleep quality was terrible. Bedtime calculators were too basic; they just subtracted hours from my wake-up time. None of them understood me, and more importantly, none of them understood the complex role coffee played in my life. Generic advice like "don't drink coffee after 2 PM" felt arbitrary. Does that rule still apply if I wake up at 9 AM? What if I only had one small cup? I needed something smarter. Something personal. As a developer, I decided to build the tool I couldn't find. I dove into research on sleep cycles and caffeine metabolism and realized that with a bit of data and a smart model, I could get a much better prediction. That’s how Brew'd Awakening was born. I built it with an ML/AI algorithm that doesn't just ask when you want to wake up. It asks the crucial follow-up questions: How much sleep do you need to feel your best? And how much coffee did you have today? This app is for the coffee lovers, the night owls trying to reform, the early birds who want to be more consistent, and for anyone who believes that with the right tools, we can work with our bodies, not against them. It’s about giving you the data to make an informed choice, so you can enjoy your favorite brew and get the deep, restorative sleep you deserve.
