After I started college, I lived with a flipped day-night schedule for seven years. It wasn’t until my health started to break down that I tried to fix it, but by then, the chaos had become a habit, and no matter how hard I tried, it was really hard to change. I tried a bunch of other apps that required photo verification, but I always ended up falling back asleep right after taking the picture. That’s what led me to create this app. It’s called “Don’t Snooze,” an alarm app that won’t turn off until you finish your entire morning routine. You set step-by-step missions, and for each one, you take a photo to prove you’ve completed it. Only after all the missions are done does the alarm stop. At first glance, it might look like a simple or even clunky app, but the impact it had on my life was anything but small. After I started using it, my life completely changed. I began washing up and going to the gym every morning. I made sure to get sunlight every day. I always felt like my body clock was longer than 24 hours, but the more I exposed myself to sunlight, the easier it became to fall asleep at a reasonable time. That alone was a huge breakthrough for me. And yes, I actually lost a lot of body fat too. Back when I was constantly ordering delivery and just sitting in a chair all day, my body fat percentage was close to 30% according to InBody scans. Now it's around 20%. I still have a long way to go, but I’m confident now that I won’t lose to my own laziness again. The biggest gift this app gave me was confidence in myself. Now I know I can design my own routines and stick to them. I won’t give in to laziness anymore. And I truly believe my life will keep getting better. At first, I made this app just for myself. But after sharing my experience with some friends, a lot of people started asking me to release it. And now, it’s finally available to everyone. I just hope this app helps others fight and beat the monster called laziness that quietly creeps into all of our lives. I’d be grateful for any thoughts or feedback you might have.
