Lately, I've been coding again and it's been a lot of fun, but I heard all the cool kids use this new thing called AI?! Of course, like everyone else, I've been using different LLMs at work and at home, and I wanted to build something that would help people with prompt engineering, also known as just providing good and detailed instructions. I ended up building this simple UI that includes all the common aspects of building a good prompt (persona, tone, audience, etc.), but then I wanted to reuse my successful prompts without creating a million copies, so I added the ability to add variables. I also wanted to test the same prompt with different models (and play with their APIs), and so what began as a simple UI now had chat capabilities. Then I had too many of them, so I built (well, Claude built this one) a library functionality so prompts would be easier to find and sort. So I show it off to my wife, who's now interested in doing the same but wants to play around with her own account. Cool, let's use Cursor to add a "share" functionality. Now at this point, I'm like, could this be useful for others? I don't know, but I haven't published anything in a long time. So here it goes: Introducing MyUserPrompt.com! A prompt engineering tool for the rest of us. Go try it out now, it's free and I've prepared some pre-made libraries with a bunch of useful prompts to get you going. Now this is a real MVP; I really wanted to build something small and fun that allows me to play around with all the different APIs easily. So let me know what you think, especially if you want our team of 1 + a set of out-of-control agents to set you up with a new feature.
