Hi Product Hunt,
I’m Aryan, a 14-year-old indie developer, and I built Scanalyze AI to help people make smarter, more informed decisions about the products they use every day, whether it be cosmetic or just food.

The idea came from constantly having to Google unfamiliar ingredients, only to find confusing or inconsistent answers. Not only was this approach way too time-consuming, especially if I wanted to compare multiple products, but it was also inefficient. I wanted a faster, more reliable way to understand what we’re putting into our bodies, as many products use marketing jargon that really doesn’t mean anything.

At first, I searched for existing apps that could help, but most relied heavily on barcode scanning, which only works for a limited range of products. They also hide their core features behind expensive subscriptions that just don’t seem worth it. I wanted to create a tool that’s genuinely accessible and free to use, so everyone can benefit without worrying about subscriptions. That approach didn’t feel flexible or accurate enough. So I built something different. Scanalyze AI uses direct label scanning instead, which means it works on a wider variety of products and gives more precise insights.

Here’s what Scanalyze AI can do today:

• SmartScan - Scan product barcodes and gain an understanding of what's inside, including ingredient details, safety information, and personalized alerts.
• DeepRead – Scan ingredient or nutrition labels to get AI-powered explanations of what each ingredient does and whether it’s safe, beneficial, or questionable.
• Scanalyze Pantry – Save scanned products to your pantry for easy reference later. Includes expiry tracking.
• Allergy-Based Warnings – Set your allergens once, and get notified automatically when a product contains something you should avoid.

• Compare Products – Scan two products and get a side-by-side comparison to help you choose the healthier or safer option.
