Inspiration I had this tracking idea for a late 2024 due to our personal repetitive daily checking of websites. First I wanted to know when a laptop and then second hand Mac of a particular model was available and wrote a traditional web scrapping script for this. Later on I wanted to know when OpenAI model prices changed and then started writing another traditional web scrapping script for this then realized that LLMs (AI agents) have advanced enough to allow targeted monitoring of websites for users conditions and would be more flexible than traditional webscrapping and won’t break when the website changes format just ever so slightly. I realized that you could write one solution for all things that we needed to keep track of on the internet instead of creating a unique solution everytime we wanted to track a new thing online.
