🚀 XcodeBuildMCP: Supercharging Apple Platform Development with AI 🚀 I’ve always been fascinated by the recent advancements in AI, especially in software engineering. It’s incredible how AI can boost productivity, allowing developers to focus more on solving real-world problems rather than getting bogged down in repetitive tasks. That’s where I believe AI truly shines. If you have an idea, AI can help you bring it to life. As an iOS developer, I wanted to leverage AI agents in my daily workflow without being restricted to the Xcode IDE. I wanted to explore tools like Cursor and Windsurf while maintaining the full power of Xcode. That curiosity led me to create XcodeBuildMCP, a Model Context Protocol server that bridges the gap between AI tools like Cursor, Windsuf, VS Code (GH Copilot), Claude Desktop, etc and Apple's developer tools. What started as a fun experiment soon became something much bigger. I realised XcodeBuildMCP could be genuinely useful, not just for me but for many iOS developers and even non-developers, for anyone with an idea to build. 🔧 What can XcodeBuildMCP do? • Build and run your app effortlessly. • View your app in the simulator. • Monitor live logs while your app runs. • Even interact with your app directly, unlocking the potential for AI agents to code, build, test, and iterate towards a goal autonomously. 🌐 XcodeBuildMCP is open source and free. I’m continuously improving it based on feedback and have some exciting features in the pipeline. I can’t wait to see how it helps you! 👉 I’d love to hear your thoughts. What challenges do you face with iOS development? Could an AI-powered build workflow help you?
