I didn’t grow up in the church — for most of my life, I was a non-believer. When I first started following Jesus, I had so many questions but was too afraid to ask them. I built Lumen for people like that. Choosing to follow God has been the most important decision I’ve ever made, and my hope is that Lumen helps others draw closer to Him with honesty, curiosity, and confidence. If that resonates with you — or someone you know — I’d love for you to give Lumen a try and let me know what you think.

I think it's great you've built a tool to help make the Bible more accessible, but discussing God's Word should be done with God Himself or with others. God wants a direct relationship with you. If there's something you're unsure about, you can always ask God what the meaning is through prayer. Discussing the Bible with others is also a great way to study together and to spread God's Word and hope for humanity.

@smjburton Thank you for sharing that — I completely agree that nothing replaces a direct relationship with God, and that prayer and community are essential parts of growing in faith. Lumen isn’t meant to replace those things, but to support them — especially for folks who feel unsure where to start, or are afraid to ask questions in group settings. My hope is that it encourages people to engage more deeply with Scripture, not less — and that it ultimately draws them closer to God, both personally and in community. 🙏
