SaaS Brainstorm

Hey Product Hunt, Virgil here, maker of SaaS Brainstorm.

Like many of you, I've built projects that didn't quite take off (I actually built an AI headshot generator, only two years late to the party). It got me thinking: how much of the early startup grind, from finding a good idea to planning the execution, could be automated with AI?

That's the goal behind SaaS Brainstorm – to be an end-to-end platform that uses AI to streamline the entire process of launching a new SaaS venture.

Here’s the workflow it automates:

Idea Discovery: It constantly scans sources like Reddit, X, and Hacker News, using AI to identify potential business ideas, user problems, or unmet needs surfacing in discussions.

Quick Validation: We then run these ideas through AI validation. It assesses it across a range of metrics like market need, monetization potential, technical complexity, required expertise, and highlights key risks & opportunities. (You can also submit your own ideas and they stay private).

Deep Dive Market Analysis: Once you like an idea, you can trigger a deeper analysis. This is an intensive AI analysis involving chaining together hundreds of SERP lookups, scrapers, image and text analysis, with the goal of understanding the landscape around your idea. It identifies competitors, analyzes their features/pricing/user sentiment (from reviews/social), finds potential gaps, and suggests unique angles. This can also help you figure out whether you've got a blue ocean idea without many / any competitors.

Launch Prep (Naming & Concept): Once validated, the AI can help you quickly brainstorm names and even check domain availability. Then, it assists in refining your pitch and defining the core MVP feature set.

Launch Prep (Build Plan): The next step to launch is to build out your fully detailed technical implementation plan complete with code, so that you either pass it into Cursor/Replit/Lovable/v0 or pass it off to a freelancer to build it. You select your preferred tech stack (or use the recommended Next.js/Supabase/Vercel), and the AI generates a detailed, multi-phase technical implementation plan that can be exported as Markdown or PDF. It also generates a separate checklist for your manual tasks (account signups, API keys, etc.).

Launch Prep (Marketing): Finally, it generates an initial marketing plan: suggestions for relevant platforms/subreddits, tailored promotional copy for each, a posting schedule, and even ad creative ideas with image prompts.

My vision is to eventually automate this down to generating a deployable landing page with pre-order capability directly from the platform, so that you can go from being inspired by an idea and to collecting pre-orders within a couple hours.
