Hey Product Hunt community! We’re beyond excited to launch our AI Recipe Generator today! Your support means the world to us, and we can’t wait to hear your thoughts and feedback. Why did we create this app? 🍳 Cooking inspiration shouldn’t be a struggle. We built this tool after realizing how often people stare at random ingredients or old recipe photos, unsure of what to make. Our app transforms photos of dishes or fridge contents into full recipes with beautiful images, nutritional info, and step-by-step guides. Plus, with AI chat for guidance and recipe modifications, we’re making cooking accessible and fun for everyone. How does it work? 📸 Snap a photo of a dish, recipe, or ingredients | Get a custom recipe instantly ✍️ Enter a text prompt | Generate a recipe from any idea or craving 💬 Chat with AI | Get cooking tips or tweak recipes (vegan, serving size, etc.) 💡 Brainstorm ideas | Ask for quick meal ideas with limited ingredients 🖼️ Save & share | Build a stunning recipe gallery What’s next? We’re eager to welcome new users and keep enhancing the app. Try it out for free and let us know how it fits into your kitchen routine. If you’ve got ideas for features or improvements, we’re all ears! Schedule a quick chat with us or drop your thoughts below. Let’s talk! What’s the weirdest ingredient combo you’ve ever cooked with? How do you usually find recipe inspiration? Makers, what was the biggest challenge in developing the photo-to-recipe tech? Cheers from the kitchen, DigiDish

@digidish_app Thank you so much for the warm welcome and thoughtful questions! 🙏

We’re thrilled to finally share DigiDish with the Product Hunt community. Our goal has always been to make cooking more approachable, creative, and fun—no matter what’s in your fridge or pantry.

Biggest challenge?
Turning a simple photo into a reliable, step-by-step recipe was definitely our toughest hurdle. Dishes can look so different depending on lighting, plating, and even camera quality! We spent months training our AI to recognize not just ingredients, but also context—like cooked vs. raw, or distinguishing between similar-looking foods. We’re still learning and improving every day, and your feedback will help us get even better.

Weirdest ingredient combo?
We’ve seen some wild ones during testing! Personally, I once made a pasta sauce with peanut butter and sriracha (surprisingly tasty). We’d love to hear your own kitchen experiments—maybe they’ll inspire a new feature or recipe!

How do we find inspiration?
A lot of our ideas come from everyday cooking dilemmas and chatting with home cooks. We also love browsing food blogs, TikTok, and even old family cookbooks for inspiration.

We can’t wait to hear what you all think of DigiDish! Please try it out, share your feedback, and let us know what features would make your cooking experience even better. Thanks again for your support—it means the world to us!

Happy cooking,
The DigiDish Team 👩‍🍳✨

Hi Everyone!

Building the photo-to-recipe feature was a wild ride - sometimes the AI would suggest hilarious (and occasionally impossible) recipes. We’ve worked hard to make it smarter and more helpful, but we know there’s always room to grow.

If you run into any funny or unexpected results, please share them! We’re always looking to improve and would love your input on what features or cuisines to focus on next.
