Hello Product Hunt! 👋 Tomer here, creator of URLert. So excited to finally share this project with you all! Like many of you, I've seen firsthand how devastating online scams and phishing attacks can be. Whether it's happened to us or someone we know, that feeling of being tricked is awful. These attackers are clever and prey on our trust and weaknesses. I felt strongly that existing tools weren't keeping pace, or the really powerful ones were only accessible to large enterprises, leaving everyday users exposed. Honestly, the situation often feels out of control. That's why I built URLert with two main goals: Raise Red Flags: Utilize AI to quickly analyze websites and alert you to potential dangers before you click or disclose sensitive information. Educate: Help users understand the types of risks they might encounter online. Think of URLert as that personal security expert we all wish we had – the one who could quickly say, "Wait! Is this crypto service actually legit?" or "Careful, this doesn't look like your real bank's website!" or "That link in the SMS looks phishy!". Using it is straightforward: just paste in a URL, and within 30-60 seconds, the AI provides a security assessment. And because I believe that basic online safety tools should be available to everyone, URLert's core service is completely free and ad-free. I poured a lot of passion into this, driven by the desire to make the web a little bit safer for all of us. I'd be thrilled for you to give URLert a try! Let me know what you think. What are your biggest worries when navigating the web or clicking on links? I'd love to hear your feedback and address any questions you may have. Thanks so much for checking out URLert!
