Thrilled to finally share Sohri with you all! 🎉
The inspiration for Sohri sparked while observing the incredible rise of webtoons, especially here in Korea 🇰🇷. It made me wonder: why isn't there a similarly vibrant and accessible platform for audio stories? 🎧 Audio has this unique power – you can dive into a narrative world while commuting, working out, or just relaxing.
But when I looked into it, I realized the biggest hurdle: creating high-quality audio content, like audiobooks or serialized audio novels, is traditionally incredibly complex, costly, and time-consuming. Professional voice actors, studio time, complex editing... it's a huge barrier for most creators.
That's why I built Sohri 🚀. It's an AI-powered platform designed to dramatically simplify the process of turning your stories into immersive audio novels. With intuitive tools and AI voice recommendations tailored to capture the right emotion and tone, we handle the heavy lifting on the technical side. Our goal is to empower everyone – writers, creators, hobbyists – to become audio storytellers and easily share their work with the world. I've even had fun turning my own ideas into audio stories!
Sohri is currently free to use, and we'd absolutely love for you to give it a try and share your thoughts. Your feedback at this early stage is invaluable as we're working hard to build something truly special and useful. 🌱 We know there's still room for improvement, and your insights will directly shape the future of Sohri.
(While we envision potential premium features down the line, our main focus right now is building a platform creators love and find genuinely helpful.)
Thanks so much for checking us out! Looking forward to hearing what you think and seeing the amazing audio stories you create!
What kind of story would you want to bring to life with audio first? Let us know below! ✨

"Sohri" (소리) is the Korean word for "sound," representing the broad spectrum of audio experiences we aim to enable!
Congrats on the launch of Sohri! You've tapped into a really thoughtful gap—audio storytelling is powerful, but historically out of reach for most creators. Removing the technical and cost barriers with AI feels like a meaningful shift, not just a cool tool. The emotional tone-matching and voice recommendations are especially intriguing.
How do you see Sohri evolving as more creators join—will there be ways for listeners to discover, follow, or even support their favorite storytellers? And how do you balance creative control with AI-generated narration?
Thanks so much for the thoughtful comment and kind words! 🙌 We're thrilled you see the potential here – making powerful audio storytelling accessible is exactly what drives us. You nailed it; we're aiming for Sohri to be a genuinely helpful shift for creators.
Great question about the future! You're spot on with our vision. While our immediate focus is refining the creation experience with early feedback (first things first!), Sohri is definitely planned to grow beyond just a creation tool.
Long-term, the goal is to evolve Sohri into a vibrant audio content platform. We're thinking discovery features for listeners, ways to follow favorite creators, and absolutely – mechanisms for listeners to directly support the storytellers they love. We believe creators need clear paths to build their audience and potentially monetize their passion.
For this initial launch, we wanted to validate our core idea. Can we significantly simplify and speed up audio creation, especially for those familiar with the traditional complexities? So, right now, gathering feedback to make the creation engine as smooth and powerful as possible is priority number one.
Regarding the balance between creative control and AI – this is super important to us! We see AI firmly as a co-pilot or a powerful starting point. Think of it this way: getting started is often the hardest part, and our AI makes that initial leap incredibly easy, generating a solid first draft of your audio quickly. But from there, you have full granular control. You can dive in and tweak every single sentence – adjust the narration, refine the tone, ensure every pause and emphasis perfectly matches your artistic vision. The AI handles the initial heavy lifting and tech hurdles, freeing you up to focus on storytelling and fine-tuning the details. You're always in the director's chair.
Thanks again for the fantastic questions and encouragement – it really means a lot! 🙏
