Amazon released Nova Reel 1.1 on Bedrock, and the big news is support for multi-shot video generation. This lets you create AI videos significantly longer than before: up to 2 minutes!🤯
They offer two main ways to do this: an Automated mode using a single prompt for the entire duration, or a Manual (storyboard-style) mode where you can define the prompt and optional image for each 6-second shot individually. Both methods aim to keep the visual style consistent across the different shots.
This v1.1 update also brings general quality and speed improvements to the standard 6-second single-shot generation. It's all accessible now via Amazon Bedrock (currently in US-East-1).
Generating long, consistent, high-quality AI video like this obviously sets a new standard.
