Hey everyone! I'm really excited (and quite a bit nervous too) to finally share Newt with you. It's a native app for iOS, Android, and macOS that lets you read, write, and listen to any book — with an AI assistant built into every story and a powerful plugin-based reader/editor that adapts to your creativity. Here’s what you can do with Newt: 📖 Read full books, ask questions, or get instant summaries 🔊 Listen to books with synced text highlighting, from start or any paragraph 🎨 Visualize scenes from any part of the story — or ask AI to explain them 🧠 Write your own stories or import existing ones 🧩 Use a WYSIWYG editor where every block is modular: add images, videos, tables, math, even interactive buttons ✍️ Use inline AI to apply edits, insert text, rewrite, replace, and more — all without leaving your story 🖼️ Tap “Visualize” to turn your words into images, or prompt ComposerAI to generate one for you 📚 Auto-generate book covers and backgrounds with AI 🚀 Use AI offline — ComposerAI works without an internet connection 🧰 Build a complete book with visuals in minutes 🔄 Enjoy offline-first sync: keep reading, writing, and listening even without internet, and everything syncs automatically when you're back online 🎧 Coming soon: Ultra high-quality audiobooks Newt is for readers, writers, wordsmiths, and anyone who loves stories really — whether you’re diving into a classic, writing your first book, or just imagining what a scene might look like. This is a passion project my wife and I have built from scratch — just the two of us. It’s been quite the rollercoaster (especially with a toddler), but we really put some thought and love into it and we're really proud of the result; we’re still adding features and new books and making it better every day. We’d love your feedback, your ideas… or even just a hello 😊 Thank you so much for reading and we hope you like it!

This is insanely impressive—Newt feels like a creative playground disguised as a reader. Love the modular editor and offline AI. One question: will there be ways for readers and writers to interact around a book? Could open up a whole new layer of storytelling.

@shreyans_assistiv Thanks Shreyans!

They can interact around a book, right now through comments (press into any paragraph/block, and you should see the options), but we're developing several features to have community-driven books if the writer opts in, sort of like Git does with Pull Requests for example.
