Talkblue (alpha)

Surfshark recently revealed that AI assistants collect your data en-masse, from your location to contact details and your entire conversation history. Since the release of the report, I've been trying to find an alternative assistant that is: 1) fully European, so no data is sent outside of the EU. 2) privacy-friendly, so it doesn't collect all personal data it gets access to. 3) is good enough, so I can use it in the day to day. I couldn't find one, so I decided to build one myself! The result is a privacy-friendly AI assistant, a European alternative to the big names. Talkblue does not share any data with third parties, and all subprocessors (like cloud hosting) are within Europe. It doesn't collect anything it doesn't need, and doesn't store your conversation history. It does so by using open source models, hosted in Paris. Even search results come from Qwant, a privacy-focused search engine, based in France. Talkblue is currently in super early alpha. It's by no means a finished product, and more a proof of concept, but if anyone is interested: feel free to try it out for free and let me know what you think!
