Hey! Where does the app get its data from? I tried searching for "whisky" and only found six brands. Then I searched for "potatoes" and got results like "Lays Potato Chips."

Right now, the tool uses a generative AI model (LLM) to suggest up to 6 Canadian alternatives based on your query. This initial launch is just the first step - as we continue gathering more data and scraping verified Canadian product directories, we’ll be feeding that into a custom dataset that will serve as retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) to make it smarter and more accurate over time.
That’s odd about the Lays chips - I just tested the same and didn’t get that, but I’ve now adjusted the prompt logic to further improve filtering and exclude non-local brands from responses. Super helpful note - the more real-world feedback like this, the better the engine gets 💡
