We started 6DGRS aiming to “solve single” by helping singles meet other quality singles pre-vetted and recommended by a trustworthy, mutual connection. Our product is designed to help matchmakers feel more comfortable and empowered to make introductions while providing a way for singles to communicate their dating criteria, approved photos, and information they would like to share with a potential match in a more meaningful way that provides a sense of security and privacy. 6DGRS’ “Friends over algorithms” bets on the people that know the user best to facilitate successful connections and matches. We are building an experience that will amplify and incentivize the user’s community to use their intimate knowledge of the single that can’t be communicated within a profile, picked up by an algorithm, or gleaned by a professional matchmaker within a one-hour consultation to help find matches that compliment the single most. Friends and family members can quickly identify an alignment of values, religion, and preferred physical characteristics and their vote of confidence can bode well for at least an opportunity to explore a connection. Also, the shared link immediately gives the newly paired duo common ground to discuss and build on thus providing a sense of familiarity that helps remove first-date jitters or awkwardness. There is also a sense of accountability that accompanies a connection facilitated by mutual contact increasing the likelihood that both parties will present the best version of themselves offering a sense of security and respect even if the couple decides not to pursue a romantic relationship.
