Any plans for an iOS or web version?
Hi @ajsharp. We want to build both iOS and web versions, but we don’t have them in our pipeline yet. Since we are still testing the concept, we will iterate the users feedback in order to take product decisions. This way we can better decide the concept, the features and also when it makes sense to develop other platform versions 🙂
@bffcorreia Cool, thanks. FWIW, a beta version of a "web" product might just be email. E.g. let me subscribe and email me short stories every day or week.
It's a simple and interesting way to validate the concept. We will think about that! Thank you @ajsharp 🙂
Hello Product Hunt! This is my first post here 🎉 Hope you like it. We have been developing 5 Minute Reader as a side project to test new tools and processes, and we thought it was time to put it out here. It is very simple! Everyday you get a different curated short story from famous authors on the public domain. We are still testing the concept and we are looking for your feedback on how to improve. Tell us what you think! Thank you very much 🤗

Can I see the reading history? Because for similar apps sometimes I read but didn't finish it, then next morning I want to continue to read I find it's gone
Hello @chunqing_xia! Currently you can’t see the reading history. The only way that we have in mind to save stories is with a bookmarking feature which should be only available for premium members (that should have access to all stories). However, we still need to evaluate that. Is this feature enough for you or you think it would be better to have, for example, a list with the last two opened stories so you can finish them later?

Keep up the good work, curious to see how it evolves :)

Pros:

It's simplicity

Cons:

More stories to begin with

Thank you very much for your feedback Alexandra. We are looking for a way to give more content to our readers. Stay put, we'll get back to you soon!
