I still haven't gotten into meditation - tried Headspace for a bit but just didn't feel like it was doing anything for me. I do like the look of this little app though - any regular meditators(?) out there got any thoughts on this?

@_jacksmith yeah I saw it when it was posted... seemed like a good little way to dip my toe in Do you do any meditation? If so, what do you use and what do you find it beneficial for?

@bentossell no, I don't, but my 2017 resolution is to learn more breathwork techniques. I've been doing to a few different classes. controlled breathwork can have multiple benefits including controlling anxiety

@bentossell @_jacksmith @bentossell @_jacksmith Sorry to jump in. Though I would share my 2 cents and help you answer your question. For me it helps with two things; for one relaxation and for two, the most important, increased awareness. Functioning less on autopilot, learning to watch my thoughts so I can make choices that are beneficial to my well being and that of others. Meditation is highly experiential in nature, what works for you may not for others. I suggest you try different approaches to find what suits you. i.e. tai chi, yoga, breathwork, zazen, transcendental, guided visualization, mindfulness, etc. Best of luck!
