How does this compare to Miranda? Miranda is pretty awesome and free. https://www.producthunt.com/tech...

@tomflemming that's a great question, I prepared an image that demonstrates the differences. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Cs7h... In a nutshell: While Miranda is certainly sleek and a pleasure to use, when we were designing 24 Hours we wanted to push it a bit further. We wanted the solution of the timezone problem to be truly elegant. Our goal was to give maximum information, in the most easy to digest and obvious way, while utilising minimum amount of space and requiring minimal effort from the user. On the image above, there're the same cities and timezones shown in both apps: Miranda and 24 Hours. A few things to notice: 1) What merely takes one screen in 24 Hours requires 3 in Miranda 2) 24 Hours not only gives you raw data (i.e. time values), but allows you to create a mental model of the underlying logic behind time differences and time conversion (you see all clock hands on one face, moving in synch. + We try to show relationship between time and day and night on the world map.) 3) Originally 24 hours was conceived as Apple Watch app, that kept us on our toes, as long lists were not an option. Once you try it and get used to it, there's no going back. Or so we feel... Dessert: There're no timezones available in Miranda, just city names, so I had to replace GMT and UTC in my example with adding an extra location.

I love this, but I'd love it a lot more as a slack app! @ourielohayon

Hey there, everyone. Was surprised to see that someone hunted our 24 Hours app, so totally unprepared for this. @Ouriel has already mentioned the story of how it was designed and built: https://medium.com/@komarov/appl... Here's a video of the app in action (2mb) https://www.dropbox.com/s/a6py5j... We've been working as a remote team for the past ~7 years, so this app, as well as World Clock app for Mac (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/...) is the direct result of us struggling with the time-difference on a daily basis. Hope you enjoy this app. Ping me if you have any questions or suggestions. Thanks! Alex.
