So excited to launch this extension. Cloud sync coming soon!
Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I built TemplaGem out of sheer frustration with my own daily routine.
I use LLMs constantly for development and writing, and over the months I accumulated a massive collection of good prompts saved across Notion and Apple Notes. Every time I needed one, the dance was identical: find the note, copy it, switch tabs, and paste.
Then came the really annoying part: manually backspacing through placeholders like [INSERT_LANGUAGE]or <TOPIC>, hoping I didn't mess up quotes or structure. Doing that dozens of times a day felt ridiculous.
So I wanted something that felt more like a native code-snippet manager inside the browser:
Tab-to-fill variables: If your template has {{variables}}, they show up as interactive chips right in the composer. You type the value, hit Tab to jump to the next one, and press Enter to send. No cursor hunting, no backspacing.
Works across different chats: Whether you're in ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or DeepSeek, it adapts to the input box automatically.
Local & private: Everything is stored offline in your browser's IndexedDB. Your prompts never touch external servers unless you turn on cloud sync.
You can test the actual Tab-to-fill feel in our interactive demo on the site: 👉 https://templagem-landing.pages.dev
I’m here all day to chat, take feedback, and fix any weird edge cases you run into.
How are you currently handling your prompt templates?
