Hi, I'm Brutal at Brutal Foundry LLC. ForgeScribe started with complaints people had about existing transcription tools: recurring subscriptions, uploading recordings, awkward editing and lost work.
Import a recording or make one, choose a speech model, transcribe locally, review the words, then export text or subtitles. There are nine export formats, recovery checkpoints, compatible GGML model import and twelve menu languages.
Media and transcripts stay on your PC. Models need an initial download, and Microsoft Store licensing may require internet. Live captions are provisional and can lag or revise words. Transcripts need review.
You can try the seven-day Microsoft Store trial. The US price is $14.99 once; regional prices are shown by Microsoft. No subscription or separate ForgeScribe account.
The product page includes the workflow and a real public speech example: https://brutalfoundry.com/forgescribe
What would make the recording-to-export workflow more useful for your recordings?
