Code while you play. CoW lets you ask Claude Code or Codex about your project from a popup inside World of Warcraft, then keep playing: you get an alert when the agent replies. A free desktop app (Windows and macOS) runs the agent on your PC, only in folders you allow, and read-only unless you turn on edits. Up to 16 chats, each with its own folder, agent and history. The agent also knows your quests and position, and can drop map markers or start a leveling guide.

Hey everyone! 👋
CoW is inspired by wow-ai and I wanted my own take on it: keep Claude Code working on my side project while I'm out questing, instead of alt-tabbing to check on it.
So now there's a little chat window right inside WoW. You ask Claude Code or Codex something, go back to playing, and the game pings you when the answer is ready, with a quick TL;DR so you don't even have to open it.
The fun part was making it work at all. WoW addons can't touch the network or run anything, so the addon literally draws a tiny strip of pixels that a desktop app reads off your screen, and the app writes the replies back as addon files. Nothing gets typed into the game, so your character just stands there 😄 And the agent stays read-only unless you tell it otherwise.
It runs on Windows and macOS, on Retail and WoW Forever. If there's interest, I can put together a Linux version too, so let me know! I'd also love to hear whether setup works on your machine (Windows especially), and what you'd ask an agent without leaving Azeroth. Thanks for checking it out!
