Hi Product Hunt, I'm David, a designer in Barcelona.
Sticky Jelly started as a study on my site: a soft body clinging to the edges of a canvas. It became an app because something that sticks to the edges of a canvas wants to stick to the edges of a screen.
Every point on its body grabs the edge it touches and holds until the pull beats its stickiness, then lets go one point at a time, so peeling it off a corner feels like peeling. Leave it hanging from the top of the screen and it drips. It has moods, its eyes follow your cursor a little late, and every sound it makes is synthesised.
Then it does things for you:
Fling it onto your phone and ask from there. The phone and the Mac talk to each other directly.
Right-click it and take a bite of your screen. Draw round an error, a chart or a paragraph you can't read, and it tells you the one thing worth knowing.
Ask it to read the whole article and it makes a PDF or a Word document, pictures and all.
Hold it to talk, and what you say stays on your Mac.
Say "save this" on any shop and it keeps the product. "Compare my shoes" puts them side by side.
Ask for a selfie from your phone and it takes the photo, then edits it the way you want.
The first time you sit down each morning, it says good morning with what's on your calendar.
The app is free, signed and notarised, for Apple silicon and Intel. The chat comes with free credits; more come in packs from €4.99. Everything the creature does on its own, the sticking, the moods, the sounds, the phone, needs no credits at all.
I'd love to hear what you'd want it to do next, and what it did on your desktop that surprised you.
