Symmetry Mirror & Heatmap
Launching today
Free AI tool that shows where your face is asymmetric, not just how much. It mirrors 68 facial landmarks across your nose midline and paints the gap onto your photo as a color-coded heatmap: green where your sides agree, red where they differ. Scaled to face width, so photo size doesn't matter. 2 free scans a day, no sign-up, photos deleted right after processing.

Symmetry Mirror & Heatmap: See Exactly Where Your Face Is Asymmetric
A symmetry score tells you how closely your two sides match, but it does not tell you where they differ. The Symmetry Mirror & Heatmap on FaceShapesAI (https://faceshapesai.com/symmetry-heatmap) fixes that. Upload one front-facing photo, and the tool draws the result directly on your face as a colour-coded map.
How It Works
The tool places 68 landmark points on your face and sets a centre line through the bridge of your nose. Every point on your left side is mirrored across that line, and the gap between each mirrored point and its real match on the right is measured. The gap is divided by your face width, so a high-resolution photo and a small selfie give the same reading.
Reading the Colours
Green means the two sides are closely matched, and this covers most of most faces. Amber means some drift, which is usually invisible in a normal photo or conversation. Red shows the largest gaps on your face. Nobody’s map comes back fully green, so a little amber or red is normal.
Why a Picture Is Useful
Two faces can get the same overall score and still look very different underneath. One may be slightly off everywhere, while the other is near perfect except for one region. A single number cannot show that difference, but a map shows it at a glance.
Check Your Photo First
The most common thing the map reveals is a photo problem. If one whole side glows red while the other is green, your head was probably turned a few degrees from the camera. Retake the photo straight on, with the camera at eye level, a neutral expression, and even lighting.
Good to Know
This tool draws the same measurement as the Face Symmetry Test, but as a picture instead of region scores. It is a description of geometry, not a verdict on your face, and no real face is perfectly symmetrical.
The tool is free, with 2 scans per day and no sign-up needed. Your photo is deleted from the server right after the map is ready. Try it at https://faceshapesai.com/symmetry-heatmap.
