Hi Product Hunt! I'm Mircea, one of the makers of AlgoCademy. We launched here in 2020 with coding lessons for interviews.
Interviews have changed since then. Google is piloting a round where you work in code you didn't write, with an AI assistant allowed. Most practice sites still give you one problem and a Run button.
So we built mock interviews with an AI interviewer:
- Coding: explain your approach, write the code, run hidden tests, answer follow-ups.
- Code reading: a small codebase with bugs, and an AI assistant that is useful and sometimes wrong.
- System design: take notes step by step and draw the design while you talk it through.
Each round ends with a scorecard: what went well, what to work on, and which lessons to practice next. You can talk instead of typing, and the interviewer can read its questions aloud.
