Mythos: Free AI Archetype Test

Mythos is an AI-guided archetype reading at https://whatsmythos.com. Instead of asking you to tick boxes, it holds a short conversation — about a decision you keep circling, what you protect, what you avoid — and reads the pattern underneath the answers.

The reading is built on eight archetypes drawn from Eastern mythology, including Chinese figures such as Jiang Ziya, Sun Wukong, Lu Ban and Guan Yu. Each archetype is defined by a core desire, a core fear and a shadow, so the result describes both the gift and the repeated problem, not a flattering label. A reading takes about 6–10 minutes, produces a written portrait with scores, and ends in a collectible card you can keep, download as a long-scroll image, or send to someone else.

The same reading is available in English, German, French, Dutch, Chinese, Swedish, Norwegian and Danish, with the conversation and the card localized. Accounts keep readings private; the first reading is free and additional readings use credits, with no subscription and no stored card.

Under the hood: a Next.js static front end on Cloudflare Pages, Supabase for accounts and reading storage, and a language model that conducts the conversation and drafts the reading against a fixed archetype framework.
