Hi Product Hunt 👋 I’m Bryan Wen, the creator of xDots. I’m a college student, and xDots started as my capstone project. Today I get to share it with all of you.

I built xDots for those moments when you have half an idea and want someone to play along. My favorite example from the launch video is a jellyfish running late for an elevator. The doors start to close, a blue tentacle slips through, and suddenly you’re rooting for the little guy. I wanted to be able to try an idea like that just because it made me smile.

Doti is the AI creative partner inside xDots. You can work with Doti in three modes:

Chat — Talk through an idea, explore a few visual directions together, and turn your favorite into a video.
Ads — Build a brand kit from your website, choose a product, and create a batch of winning ads.
Film — Brainstorm a story with Doti, build your characters, then write the script and turn it into a storyboard.

Building xDots on a student budget shaped the pricing, too.

On the annual Studio plan, the markup on model API costs is just 5%. Once we reach 1,000 paying users, we’ll seek volume discounts from video model providers and pass the savings on to creators. Our promise is to cap the markup at 15% or less on every plan.
