LumiPilot is a Windows AI assistant for file editing, shell commands, Git, and browser tasks. Connect your preferred AI provider and control which actions need approval. The app is free; external AI subscriptions and API usage may cost extra.

Hi Product Hunt! I'm the maker of LumiPilot, a Windows app for working with AI on coding and everyday tasks.
You connect an AI provider, choose a working folder, and start a conversation. LumiPilot can search and edit files, run commands, and work with Git. You can review file changes and choose which tools need your approval.
There's an embedded browser next to the chat, and you can keep several conversations open side by side. It supports providers including OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, and Ollama. For a different way to interact, there's also Lumi, the app's character, with chat and reminders.
A few things to know before trying it:
- Windows 10/11, 64-bit.
- The app is free, but you bring your own AI provider access.
- The source code is not public.
- It's not a sandbox: approved commands run with your Windows user permissions.
- Data used for a task may be sent to your selected AI provider or connected services.
I'd like to hear how your first session goes. Was connecting a provider straightforward? Were the approval prompts clear? What got in the way of completing a task?
Thanks for giving it a try.
