AEO Sonar shows software, crypto and fintech companies what AI tells their buyers. The free Sonar Scan asks ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude and Google AI Overviews 12 buying questions, the kind a buyer asks before they have a brand in mind, then shows whether you come up, who gets named instead, which sources the engines trust and what they get wrong about you. The result is a Sonar Score out of 100 and a count of the fixes we found.

I'm Richard, and I made AEO Sonar.
It started with a small experiment. I asked ChatGPT to recommend a tool in a category I know well, and it confidently suggested a company that had shut down two years earlier. I tried Perplexity, Gemini and Claude next. Each one gave me a different shortlist, and a couple of them got prices plain wrong.
That got me wondering how many software teams have no idea what these assistants tell their buyers. So I built a way to find out.
What it does: the free Sonar Scan asks ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude and Google AI Overviews the questions buyers in your category actually ask.
Then it shows you:
who gets recommended (and whether you're on the list)
which sources the AI engines trust
what they get wrong about you
