Custom AI mock interviews with VS Code and MCP integration

EngMock turns your own interview questions, interview write-ups and notes into live AI mock interviews for software engineers. Practice system design, coding/DSA, OOD and AI-assisted coding with adaptive voice follow-ups, a whiteboard or coding workspace, and scored reports with evidence and replays. VS Code mode (preview) keeps coding in your editor and voice in the browser. Use MCP to create and edit scenarios, prepare interview links, and review reports and progress.

Hi Product Hunt! EngMock helps software engineers rehearse technical interviews with a live AI voice interviewer, using their own questions and interview notes.
Bring your own interview material
Create and edit private scenarios from your question bank, interview write-ups, TXT or Markdown study notes. Review the scenario before starting, then use it for a focused mock interview.
Practice four technical interview tracks
Prepare for system design, coding and data structures, object-oriented design, and AI-assisted coding. Explain your reasoning while working on an interactive whiteboard or in a coding workspace. The interviewer follows your work and asks adaptive follow-up questions.
Use your own VS Code
VS Code mode is in preview. Write and run code in your own editor with familiar shortcuts and navigation, while the voice interview stays in your browser. System design practice uses the web whiteboard.
Connect the tools you already use through MCP
From Claude, Codex, GitHub Copilot or another compatible MCP client, create and edit scenarios, prepare interview setup links, and review completed reports and progress. MCP supports preparation and review; the live voice interview runs in the browser.
Review the evidence after each interview
Completed interviews include skill scores, feedback grounded in your work, and a replay so you can revisit how you explained and solved the problem.
What would you want to rehearse with your own questions or interview notes? Feedback on custom scenarios, VS Code mode and the MCP workflow would be especially useful.
