OmniPic is a local-first Chrome extension for collecting images from the web: - Batch-download full-resolution originals from any site (not the compressed display versions) - Search your saved images by image, using on-device 1024-dimension vector embeddings — nothing is uploaded - Extract and organize SVG assets for design/front-end work All processing and model inference happen on your device. No account, no cloud relay, free.

Hi Product Hunt — I built OmniPic because every image tool I tried wanted an account and quietly routed my images through its servers. OmniPic does the opposite: feature extraction, the vector index, and downloads all run locally in the browser (Manifest V3), so it works offline and uploads 0 bytes. It is part of a small local-first suite I maintain (a resume/JD matcher, a multi-platform poster, an on-device AI toolkit, and more). Happy to answer questions about the on-device vector search design — that was the hardest part.
