Corodomo turns YouTube videos, anime and podcasts into interactive lessons for Japanese, English, Chinese and Korean: shadowing with syllable-level AI pronunciation scoring, dictation that highlights exactly what you misheard, clickable subtitles with one-tap flashcards, AI quizzes, and CoroAI speaking roleplay. Web, iOS, iPad, Mac and Android. Start learning without signing up.

Hi Product Hunt! I'm Viet, the maker of Corodomo.
I learned Japanese the way many of you probably did: textbooks first, then the shock of not understanding a single line of real conversation. What finally worked was shadowing and dictation with videos I actually enjoyed, but doing it by hand meant pausing, rewinding and checking subtitles hundreds of times.
So I built Corodomo. Paste a YouTube link (or pick anime, a podcast, the news) and it becomes a lesson: sentence-by-sentence shadowing with AI pronunciation scores down to the syllable, dictation that highlights exactly what you misheard, clickable subtitles that save words to flashcards, AI quizzes, and CoroAI for speaking roleplay when you're ready to talk.
It supports Japanese, English, Chinese and Korean on web, iOS, iPad, Mac and Android. The free plan lets you try shadowing and dictation right away.
What's still rough: pronunciation scoring for tonal languages is newer than for Japanese and English, and I'd love to hear where it feels off. One question for you: which video would you turn into your first lesson?
