Log a meal in a sentence, a photo or a barcode, and see how what you eat connects to how you sleep, move and feel. No calorie scoreboard, no "bad" foods. Ask Hale answers from your own diary and plans meals around you. iPhone, iPhone Duo and Apple Watch.

Hi everyone, I'm Pooja, co-founder of Stribog.
For a long time I lived with bloating and stomach aches. I photographed every meal in Freeform, wrote down how I felt afterwards, and cut foods out on my own. I still couldn't work out what was going on. Hale & Hearty is the app I wished I'd had.
What makes it different:
• Logging takes a sentence. Describe a meal, snap it or scan a barcode, from your iPhone, your Watch, a widget or Siri.
• No calorie scoreboard. The daily Nutrition Support Index only builds; it never drops because you had dessert.
• Food and symptoms sit side by side. Patterns show up as correlations, never verdicts, and a two-week elimination test checks a hunch properly.
• Ask Hale answers from your own diary ("did I get enough iron today?") and builds meal plans around you: what you've been eating, foods you don't like, even recent symptoms. Log a lot of reflux and the plan goes easy on fat and salt. It can also flag ingredients on a restaurant menu that might not suit you.
• Private by design: no account, no analytics, no ads. Your logs stay on your device and in your own iCloud.
On pricing: it's a subscription ($8.99 a month or $69.99 a year) with a free trial. There are no ads and we don't sell data, so subscriptions are what pay for it.
I'd love your feedback, especially if you've ever tried to track food for gut health. I'm here all day to answer questions.
