Hi Product Hunters 👋 I'm Buddhika, co-founder and CEO of LayerNext.
We started out building an AI analytics product for finance teams. While working with our customers, we kept seeing the same thing: their people weren't short on dashboards, they were buried in manual work. Keying invoices into the ERP, chasing PO mismatches, ticking off bank lines one by one at month end.
The bigger surprise was how many of these companies run on legacy desktop ERP and accounting systems like QuickBooks Desktop, Dynamics AX and Dynamics GP with with limited or no usable API. Most automation tools can't touch them, so the work stays manual. That's the problem we specialize in.
LayerNext's AI agents work inside the systems you already have. Legacy desktop ERPs with no API aren't a blocker for us: our agents operate the software on a dedicated computer the way a person would. Where there's an API, they use it. They process invoices, match them to POs and receipts, reconcile bank accounts and build reports.
What we learned along the way: finance teams don't want a black box. So anything the agents aren't sure about goes to a person in our browser app, with full context, and nothing gets posted without clear rules. Executives get the numbers on their phone without waiting for month end.
We'd love your feedback, especially if you work in finance or run an ERP that everyone says is "impossible to automate." What's the most manual part of your close?
