EasyRead: Read research papers next to the PDF, with your own AI

Hi, I'm Edward, the maker of EasyRead. I built it for myself. I wanted to read whole papers, equations included, without bouncing between a PDF, a broken translation, a chatbot and a notes app. In EasyRead the paper sits in a clean reading view with the original PDF beside it. You highlight a passage and ask your model about it, and the answer stays next to that paragraph, separate from the paper text. This release adds an English interface and translation into Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, French and German. You can also read the original English as is. It also supports a library folder synced by your cloud drive, and batch citation export. The app is free and MIT-licensed, for Windows, macOS (Apple silicon) and Linux. AI calls use your own subscription or API key; with a cloud model, the text goes to that provider. Over 600 people have starred the repo so far, and several sent fixes. Thank you.
