Hi Product Hunt 👋 I built Alison Workspace because I kept running into the same problem: live captions and translation were usually tied to a specific browser, website, or video player. I wanted something simpler — if audio is playing on my Mac, I should be able to see live subtitles for it. That idea became Alison Workspace. It can capture system audio from apps across macOS, generate live subtitles in 100+ languages, and translate them in real time into 16 target languages. I also spent a lot of time on the subtitle experience itself — the floating subtitle window can be moved and resized freely, so it can stay visible without getting in the way of whatever you're watching. I use it for foreign-language videos, YouTube, online courses, and other content where subtitles or translations aren't available.
