Hey Product Hunt! I’m Brandon, founder of WorkTree OS. WorkTree OS started because I’m a trader myself, and I kept running into the same problem: I had plenty of trading data, but getting real answers from it was much harder than it should have been. Broker statements could tell me my P&L. Journals could record my trades. Spreadsheets could track numbers. But I wanted to know more: Which setups are actually making money? Which sessions am I strongest in? Where am I taking unnecessary risk? How consistent am I really? What happens to my strategy over hundreds of trades? And if I’m trading prop-firm accounts, how close am I to violating a drawdown or consistency rule? I wanted one place where I could actually see the whole picture. That became WorkTree OS. What started as a trading journal quickly evolved into something much larger. As I built it and started working with my own trading data, I realized simply recording trades wasn’t enough. The real value was in connecting the data. So WorkTree OS grew into a trading performance platform with detailed analytics, risk and drawdown tracking, account management, calendar analysis, Monte Carlo simulations, consistency analysis, prop-firm tools, strategy and session breakdowns, trade importing, and AI-assisted analysis. One of the biggest challenges has been data itself. Every broker and platform seems to export trades differently. That pushed the project toward building a normalization system that can take different trade formats and turn them into consistent, usable data rather than forcing traders to rebuild their journal every time they use another broker or platform. The development process has also changed how I think about the product. Early on, I was building features I thought would be useful. Now I’m increasingly asking a different question: What decision does this data help the trader make? That has become a guiding principle behind WorkTree OS. I don’t want to build another dashboard full of impressive-looking numbers that nobody knows what to do with. I want a trader to open WorkTree OS and understand what they’re doing well, where they're struggling, how much risk they're actually taking, and what their own history is telling them. There’s still a lot I want to build. Broker/API integrations, broader platform support, deeper analytics, AI capabilities, and mobile are all part of where I want to take this. This launch is an important step because I want WorkTree OS shaped by real traders—not just by my own workflow.
