Hey Product Hunt! I'm Vionica, maker of Milo & Friends. I built this for my own family first. My kids love talking to voice assistants, but I could never get comfortable with where those conversations went — open-ended AI, ads, data collection, no real guardrails for little ones. So I made Milo & Friends: four animated characters kids can actually talk to out loud. Milo the fox tells cozy stories with you, Pip the bird tackles big questions with small clear answers, Nova the firefly wonders about the world, and Chip the cookie is pure giggles. Three modes: Story, Explore, and Play (riddles, I spy, make-believe). The part I care about most is safety: every reply is checked by an independent safety service in real time, the friends never ask for personal info, there's a parent gate over settings and purchases, daily limits plus a bedtime pause, and parents can skip topics. No ads, no third-party tracking, no recordings saved, mic only on during conversations. It's free for one short chat per child per day; Milo & Friends Plus adds 10 shared minutes a day.
