No account, and the free app sends nothing to us. Not your clips, not your voice, not even usage stats. There is a paid Plus plan for the things that actually need a server: end-to-end encrypted sync between Mac and Windows, asking your stash questions, and cleaning up, summarizing or translating text when you paste.
