Most fitness apps specialize in just one thing, forcing you to pay for multiple subscriptions. We built Mola to combine adaptive strength workouts, a 155-movement calisthenics academy, dynamic meal planning with one-tap macro swaps, and clinical joint rehab into one app. It syncs with your watch to scale workout volume based on sleep and recovery, with all core features free.
Hey everyone,
We built Mola after getting fed up with how fragmented and expensive fitness apps have become.
If you take training seriously, you usually end up with three or four different subscriptions: an app for the gym, another for tracking macros, another for mobility or calisthenics, and a wearable app on top of that. You end up paying $80 to $100 a month for apps that don't share any data with each other. Your workout app has no idea you only slept 4 hours, and your diet app has no idea your shoulder is acting up.
We wanted one straightforward app that brings the core pieces together:
- Gym training: Builds progressive overload strength and hypertrophy sessions based on what equipment you have, your recent volume, and how you feel that day (with RPE scaling and rest timers).
- Calisthenics: 155 bodyweight movements with 4-level progression trees for skills like handstands, muscle-ups, and planches, with readiness tests before you advance.
- Nutrition: Weekly meal plans tailored to your goals from an expanding recipe pool. If you don't like a planned meal, you can swap it for another recipe matching your exact macros, and it compiles your weekly grocery list automatically.
- Recovery sync: Reads sleep and HRV trends from Apple Health and Google Health Connect, automatically easing back training volume on days you're run down.
- Rehab routines: 3-phase physical therapy protocols for shoulders, knees, hips, and back so you can train around joint tweaks instead of sitting out.
Our approach from the start was to make the core training, calisthenics, nutrition, and recovery sync completely free—no trial countdowns or locked workout splits. We only charge for optional Pro features like video form analysis and checking nearby grocery store prices.
Both iOS and Android are live today. Take a look and let us know what you think—we'd really appreciate any honest feedback on what works and what we can improve.
