EditVideo — 30+ free video tools that run entirely in your browser: compress, trim, merge, crop, GIF, subtitles, slideshows, color and more, in 14 languages. Real Whisper AI transcribes locally — no API, no server. WebAssembly + WebCodecs + WebGPU. Your file never leaves your device: 0 uploads, 0 signups, 0 watermarks. Next: video stabilization and AI upscaling.
Hey Product Hunt! 👋
Solo dev here, still chasing the same goal: free tools that treat your files like they're yours.
EditVideo is a full video workshop in a browser tab — 31 tools: compress, trim, merge, crop, GIF both ways, subtitles, slideshows, boomerang, audio cleanup, and more. All in 14 languages.
The two things I refuse to compromise on:
• Zero uploads. Decoding, editing and encoding all happen in your browser (WebAssembly + WebCodecs + WebGPU). There is no server that COULD see your video. Open DevTools and watch the network tab — the only requests are the page itself.
• Real AI, honestly. The Whisper speech-to-text engine runs ONNX models locally in the tab — transcribe a lecture or make subtitles with zero API calls and zero uploads.
Everything is free, no watermark, no signup. Slideshows got motion effects and 4 aspect ratios (TikTok's 9:16 included) after launching users asked for them — building in public is fun.
Next on the roadmap: video stabilization and AI upscaling.
If you'd never upload a personal video to a random website (same), give EditVideo a try and tell me what tool you'd want next 👇
