We kept seeing engineering teams spend too much time on repetitive software tasks—setting up environments, generating boilerplate code, handling integrations, and coordinating workflows. AI could help, but most solutions required giving up control, security, or governance. We wanted to solve the gap between AI-powered development and enterprise-grade reliability. Teams should be able to automate parts of software engineering without compromising security, compliance, or operational visibility. We started by focusing on code generation, but early feedback showed that the bigger need was orchestrating the entire engineering workflow. The product evolved from a simple AI assistant into infrastructure that connects tools, automates processes, and keeps humans in control. During the launch, we prioritized reliability, governance, and real-world developer workflows over adding more AI features.
