LocalCortex is a native Mac task manager for humans and AI agents alike. Track your tasks and your agents' tasks in one place, and delegate work straight to your agents — they pick it up, work it, and keep every status update right in the app.
Hi, this is Colin, the developer of the LocalCortex App.
These days, I frequently find myself working with multiple sessions in various local AI tools, like Codex or Claude, and lost track of the progress. My personal tasks stay in my task manager while the tasks assigned to agents stay in the conversation lists in the AI tools. It is frustrated to track the progress of the tasks across multiple Apps.
This is the primary reason that I build LocalCortex, which creates a single place to manage the tasks for myself and the tasks delegated to local AI agents. I can see which task is assigned to what agent and whether an agent has completed a task and waits for my feedback. This is a relief.
During the development, I realize that one more problem can be addressed by the App. To complete a task, agents need data. But the data is sitting in my local disk, separated from the task list. So I introduce the capability to link a local folder to a task list so that the agents can access the tasks and the data to complete the tasks without my explicit guidance. This saves me a lot of time in managing the context manually.
The App is now in Mac App Store with 14 days trial. And the iOS version is coming soon. Hoping the App can help you get more organized with your agents.
